World Book Day 2023

Friday 3rd March 2023

This year we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of World Book Day – with the message for all children ‘you are a reader‘! It will be filled with lots of exciting, celebratory ways to promote reading for pleasure on World Book Day and all year round.

Dress up an egg for World Book Day: We will be holding a competition to get the children thinking about their favourite books. The children can enter by decorating an egg in the style of their favourite book!

Dressing Up: To help us celebrate World Book Day, we would like all children to come dressed as either; their favourite character from a book, in suitably warm pyjamas or casual clothes!

Book Swap: We would love to provide our children with the wonderful opportunity for them to swap books that they have previously enjoyed with other children in the school. Before or on Friday 3rd March, children and adults can bring in books which they no longer read or want into school to donate to the swap.

WBD Book Tokens: We have, once again, been fortunate to receive a £1 book token for every child in the school and pre-school to spend on a new book!
