This post is a permanent position for a suitably experienced fully qualified teacher.

SM6 is a thriving Sixth Form College with rapidly increasing student numbers. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Social Sciences, with a specialism in Sociology and Psychology, to work within our ever expanding team. Candidates should be committed to achieving high standards and be able to demonstrate excellent practice in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will join a thriving Health and Social Sciences Faculty which consists of Criminology, Sociology, Psychology, Law, Politics and Health and Social Care.

The implementation of our new and exciting whole school Digital Literacy programme means that it is essential that you are ICT literate and competent in using a variety of software packages.

St Mary’s College remains ranked in the top non-selective state schools in the country for student progress. We are consistently rated in the top 10% of providers nationally (the top possible band of the ALPS performance system which evaluates post 16 provision) across a range of indicators including for ‘Quality & Breadth’. Summer Paid Internships at St Mary's College, Hull - closing date Friday 3rd May 2024 at 12 noon

Summer Paid Internships in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Modern Languages and Computing at St Mary’s College, Hull

Salary: £900 for 3 weeks

Dates: 17th June 2024 – 5th July 2024

Applications are invited from current Mathematics / Chemistry / Physics / Computing / STEM / MFL undergraduates to complete a three week-long paid internship at St Mary’s College Hull in the summer of 2024. The programme is aimed at university students who are seriously considering a future career in secondary education and who wish to gain teaching experience in a successful secondary school.

St Mary’s College is an established provider of these internships and works closely with the Department for Education to provide a supportive and high-quality training experience for all successful applicants.
